The SQuape MECANIC

The SQuape MECANIC is a hybrid mechanical tube mod which was developed and produced in its entirety in Switzerland by SattQualm GmbH in cooperation with Simon Chromec (SiChro).

It can be used with single 18650, 20650, 20700 and 21700 batteries. Through clever design of current conduction and use of highly conductive materials it fires with virtually no Volt-Drop to give the user the maximum possible efficiency.

Since the SQuape MECANIC is a hybrid device, it is only to be used with atomisers that have a positive pin that protrudes at least 1mm from the threads of the 5

FAQ
  • How do I place the battery in the Mecanic?
  • We recommend inserting the battery with the plus pointing downwards, i.e. towards the button. But it is also possible the other way round as long as the battery is in perfect condition.

  • How far should the centerpin protrude from the atomiser in the 510 connection?
  • It should protrude at least 1mm. However, we recommend that the centerpin be screwed out so that it slightly protrudes beyond the O-ring in the TopCap of the Mecanic.

  • How do I insert the push button into the bottom ring?
  • Always visible to the outside with the SiChro logo. So that the internal ring magnet looks towards the magnet in the switch unit.

  • My Mecanic doesn't always fire. Rarely occurs, however. Sometimes the button gets a little warm. What can I do?
  • The switch of the Mecanic needs a short acclimatisation time at the beginning. It is best to always press the push button directly and a little tighter. After a short time you get the hang of it. However, the set screw may not be tightened properly or the center pin of the atomiser is not positioned enough above the O-ring. So tighten the adjusting screw a little and/or unscrew the center pin of your atomiser a little.

  • My Mecanic fires very rarely and hardly noticeably. What can I do?
  • If it is difficult to operate, there may be dirt in the button and switch. Rinse it under running water and remove the dirt with a microfibre or paper towel. Important: Allow to dry well afterwards! If this won’t work, please get in contact with support@squape.ch.

  • My button keeps getting very hot. What could be the reason for this?
  • This may be because the battery is not suitable for setup in the atomiser. So only use batteries that match your setup. Also make sure to use only impeccable batteries. No dents should be visible on the battery as a whole. The protective cover must also be free of defects.

  • How do I clean the threads on the Mecanic?
  • It is best to use a toothbrush. If it is stubborn dirt, try to clean it away with a little toothpaste and water. Rinse thoroughly and leave to dry.
